Main duties of the job:
- Preparing, analysing and reporting on monthly management accounts
- Developing and monitoring budgets, forecasts and financial models
- Collaborating with cross‑functional teams to support strategic decision‑making
- Identifying cost‑saving opportunities and driving efficiency improvements
- Supporting year‑end financial processes and liaising with auditors
- Continuously improving financial systems, processes and controls

Qualifications:
- CCAB or CIMA finalist or passed finalist or qualified by extensive experience in all aspects of management and financial accountancy
- CCAB or CIMA qualified
Knowledge, Skills and Expertise:
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and finance ledger systems
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to plan tasks and demonstrate flexibility as required
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multi‑disciplinary team
Experience:
- Experience of business planning and investment appraisal
- Prior experience of NHS Finance principles and procedures
Analytical and Judgemental Skills:
- High level numeracy skills and ability to understand, interpret and explain highly complex, financial information across the organisation
Interpersonal Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to influence and negotiate complex situations
