A fantastic opportunity is available for caring and dedicated therapeutic support workers to join a growing residential childcare provider in Warrington. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children and young people within a therapeutic and nurturing environment.
You will work closely with the management team to provide high quality care and support to young people, helping them develop confidence, independence and positive outcomes.
Main Responsibilities- Support and safeguard children and young people at all times
- Provide a warm, safe and nurturing home environment
- Work in line with care plans and placement plans
- Encourage positive routines, boundaries and behaviours
- Act as a positive role model for young people
- Complete key worker responsibilities where required
- Support young people with daily activities, education and leisure activities
- Build positive relationships with families, professionals and external agencies
- Attend meetings, reviews and training sessions as required
- Maintain accurate records and reports
- Work in line with Children's Home Regulations, safeguarding and health and safety procedures
- Support young people who may display challenging behaviour using a therapeutic approach
- Experience working with children and young people is preferred
- Willingness to complete or already hold Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare
- Strong communication and team working skills
- Flexible to work shifts including weekends, evenings and sleep ins
- Full UK driving licence is essential
- Enhanced DBS required
