Salary: £38,683.63 per annum (increase after probation).

Employment type: Full-time, Permanent (56.5 hours per week including sleep‑ins).

Requirements: Full UK driving licence required.

We are recruiting 2 Senior Residential Care Practitioners for a 2‑bed children’s residential home.

Role

  • Support the day‑to‑day running of a 2‑bed children’s home.
  • Lead shifts and provide guidance to care staff.
  • Deliver high‑quality care to young people, supporting emotional and behavioural needs (EBD).
  • Assist with care planning, risk assessments, and behaviour management strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and safeguarding standards.
  • Promote a safe, structured, and nurturing environment.
  • Work as part of a 3‑week rolling rota, including sleep‑ins.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 1 year’s experience supervising or leading within a children’s residential setting.
  • Experience working with children and young people (EBD experience desirable).
  • Qualification in one of the following (or higher): Level 4 Children, Young People & Families Practitioner; Level 3 Residential Childcare; Level 3 Health & Social Care.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Passionate and resilient approach to supporting young people.
