We are urgently recruiting for an experienced Deputy Children’s Home Manager to join a 2-bed residential home in Walsall supporting young people. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident senior looking to step into a Deputy role or an established Deputy seeking a stable and rewarding position.

The Role

  • Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home
  • Lead and supervise staff, ensuring high standards of care and practice
  • Work within a 2-bed children’s residential setting, supporting young people (EBD experience advantageous)
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and care standards
  • Assist with care planning, risk assessments, and behaviour management
  • Participate in the on-call rota, providing out-of-hours support when required
  • Contribute to a safe, structured, and nurturing environment for young people

About You

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience managing or supervising a team
  • Experience working within children’s residential care
  • Qualification in one of the following (or higher): Level 4 Children, Young People & Families Practitioner, Level 3 Residential Childcare, Level 3 Health & Social Care
  • Experience working with EBD young people (desirable)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
