Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Scrub Nurse to join our team for a private cosmetic surgery hospital in Solihull. This role involves assisting with cosmetic surgery procedures and supporting patient care.
Responsibilities
- Operating Theatre Preparation: Ensure the operating theatre is fully sterilized and prepared for procedures.
- Equipment Preparation: Prepare and organize necessary equipment for surgeries.
- Sterilization: Sterilize materials, gloves, and gowns.
- Inventory Counts: Perform initial counts of sponges, instruments, and needles.
- Team Coordination: Liaise with other nurse teams throughout the surgical process.
- Post‑Surgery Care: Assist with dressing wounds and preparing the patient for the recovery room.
- Surgical Assistance: Assist the surgeon throughout the procedure with various tasks.
Qualifications
- Formal nursing qualifications are required.
- Experience with WHO checklists, team briefings, and strong communication skills.
- Must live locally and be flexible to cover shifts as per the rota; on‑call duties after the surgical list are also required.
- Shift patterns begin at either 7 am or 9 am.
