Responsibilities
- Provide high‑quality, child‑centred care to young people
- Support daily routines, education, appointments, and social activities
- Promote safeguarding, structure, and positive outcomes
- Work alongside Senior Practitioners to maintain consistent standards of care
- Assist with care planning, risk assessments, and daily record keeping
- Transport young people to appointments, education, and family contact (driving required)
- Contribute to a positive and supportive home environment
Shift Pattern
- 56.5 hours per week, inclusive of sleep‑ins. Shifts: 08:00 – 23:00 with sleep‑in, plus 08:00 – 08:30 handover the following day.
- A 3‑week rolling rota, working alongside a Senior Practitioner.
- Average 10 shifts per month, equating to 244.5 hours per month.
About You
- At least 1 year’s experience in children’s residential care or youth work
- Relevant qualification in Children’s Residential Care
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Reliable, resilient, and committed to supporting young people
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team within a rota‑based environment
