Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Scrub Nurse to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on cosmetic surgery.
ODP/Theatre Nurse Key Responsibilities
- Operating Theatre Preparation: Ensure the operating theatre is fully sterilized and prepared for procedures.
- Equipment Preparation: Prepare and organize necessary equipment for surgeries.
- Sterilization: Sterilize materials, gloves, and gowns.
- Inventory Counts: Perform initial counts of sponges, instruments, and needles.
- Team Coordination: Liaise with other nurse teams throughout the surgical process.
- Post-Surgery Care: Assist with dressing wounds and preparing the patient for the recovery room.
- Surgical Assistance: Assist the surgeon throughout the procedure with various tasks.
ODP/Theatre Nurse Requirements
- Qualifications: Formal nursing qualifications are required.
- Experience: Must have experience with WHO checklists, team briefings, and strong communication skills.
- Flexibility: Must live locally and be flexible to cover shifts as per the rota. On-call duties after the surgical list are also required.
- Shift Patterns: Shifts start at either 7 am or 9 am.
