Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Scrub Nurse to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on cosmetic surgery.

ODP/Theatre Nurse Key Responsibilities

  1. Operating Theatre Preparation: Ensure the operating theatre is fully sterilized and prepared for procedures.
  2. Equipment Preparation: Prepare and organize necessary equipment for surgeries.
  3. Sterilization: Sterilize materials, gloves, and gowns.
  4. Inventory Counts: Perform initial counts of sponges, instruments, and needles.
  5. Team Coordination: Liaise with other nurse teams throughout the surgical process.
  6. Post-Surgery Care: Assist with dressing wounds and preparing the patient for the recovery room.
  7. Surgical Assistance: Assist the surgeon throughout the procedure with various tasks.

ODP/Theatre Nurse Requirements

  1. Qualifications: Formal nursing qualifications are required.
  2. Experience: Must have experience with WHO checklists, team briefings, and strong communication skills.
  3. Flexibility: Must live locally and be flexible to cover shifts as per the rota. On-call duties after the surgical list are also required.
  4. Shift Patterns: Shifts start at either 7 am or 9 am.
