We are recruiting for a motivated and experienced Deputy Children’s Home Manager to join a well-established provider in Oadby. This role offers the choice of working within a 3-bed or 4-bed EBD home, giving flexibility to suit your experience and preference. This is a great opportunity for a strong Senior or existing Deputy looking to develop within a supportive environment.
The Role
- Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home
- Work a balanced rota of admin duties, shifts, and sleep‑ins
- Help deliver high-quality care to young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD)
- Lead shifts, supervise staff, and support team development
- Assist with care planning, safeguarding, and risk assessments
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and care standards
- Promote a safe, structured, and nurturing environment
About You
- Experience within children’s residential care
- Strong understanding of EBD and safeguarding practices
- Experience supervising or leading staff teams
- Level 3/4 in Children & Young People (or working towards)
- Confident leadership skills and ability to support operationally
- Passion for improving outcomes for young people
