A well‑established veterinary practice in the Northumberland area is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join its clinical team on a part‑time basis. This role offers a varied caseload, supportive working environment, and opportunities for ongoing training and development.
As an RVN, you will be involved in all aspects of first opinion practice, including inpatient care, surgical support, anaesthesia monitoring, and nurse consultations. The role includes participation in a structured on‑call rota, contributing to the delivery of high‑quality out‑of‑hours care.
Working Pattern
- 3 days per week
- 1 evening per week (on‑call up to 10:00pm)
- 1 in 6 weekends (on‑call)
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality nursing care across medical and surgical cases
- Assist with procedures and monitor anaesthesia
- Support inpatient care and recovery
- Conduct nurse consultations (20‑minute appointments)
- Maintain accurate clinical records
- Participate in on‑call and emergency care provision
Requirements
- Qualified and registered Registered Veterinary Nurse (RCVS)
- Confident across core nursing duties
