We are looking for an experienced and passionate Children’s Home Manager to lead and manage a residential children’s home, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and support for young people. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day management of the children’s home
- Ensure the home operates in line with Ofsted regulations and Children’s Homes Regulations
- Lead, motivate, and support the staff team to deliver outstanding care
- Promote safeguarding and the welfare of children and young people at all times
- Develop care plans, risk assessments, and support strategies tailored to individual needs
- Manage staffing, supervision, training, and performance management
- Build positive relationships with families, professionals, and external agencies
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all policies and procedures
- Drive continuous improvement and work towards achieving positive inspection outcomes
- Participate in the on‑call rota as required
Requirements
- Previous experience in a management role within residential childcare
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding practices
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Ability to manage and support teams effectively
- Passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people
