Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Theatre Practitioner / ODP to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on cosmetic surgery.

Responsibilities

  • Recovery/PACU 1:1 care of patient until stable for ward transfer
  • To keep patient in recovery longer if ward not able to accept transfer
  • To be aware of patient discharge procedure should patient be sent home direct from PACU
  • Prepare TTO Medicine ready for Ward Nurse
  • Care and Welfare of patients
  • Safeguarding of patients
  • Provisions of infection prevention & Control Measures
  • Management of Medicines
  • Safety of Equipment
  • Completion of incident forms
  • Completion of Medical Records/Discharge paperwork
  • Stock management
  • Ensure CD checks are performed
  • Respect for patients
  • Assure full and proper consent of service users
  • Provide full safe discharge of patients
  • Dealing with Complaints if faced with this situation
  • Implementation and Audit of company policies, procedures and protocols
  • There is a requirement to take part in our out of hours on call service
  • Maintain a professional manner

Qualifications

  • Formal nursing qualifications are required.
  • Looking for someone who has experience in Scrub, Anesthetics and Recovery (Desirable if all 3).

Experience

  • Must have experience with WHO checklists, team briefings, and strong communication skills.

Other Requirements

  • Flexibility: Must live locally and be flexible to cover shifts as per the rota. On-call duties after the surgical list are also required.
  • Shift Patterns: Shifts start at either 7 am or 9 am.
