Team Leader - Children's Home

Location: Barnet, London

Salary: Up to £34,500 per annum

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, with overtime available

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Rota: Three-week rolling rota, including evenings and weekends

Sleep-ins: Up to 8 sleeps per month, paid at £60 per sleep

About the Role

We are working in partnership with a specialist children's residential care provider to recruit a Team Leader to join their home in Barnet. The home provides care and support to children and young people with complex emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). The team takes a trauma-informed, child-centred approach, creating a safe and supportive environment where young people feel valued and able to develop. As a Team Leader, you will play an important role in the day-to-day running of the home. You will support the Manager and Deputy Manager, provide guidance to the support team and help ensure that the young people receive consistent, high-quality care.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Level 3 in Health and Social Care Children and Young Adults, or equivalent, or a willingness to work towards achieving it
  • An understanding of current legislation and regulatory frameworks relevant to residential childcare
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development, including training, supervision and reflective practice
