We are a well-established private ophthalmic clinic based in Exeter seeking a dedicated nurse to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a nurse who is eager to develop their skills, with the chance to work in our outpatient clinic and be trained in scrub techniques for theatre procedures.

Role Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality care to patients attending the outpatient clinic.
  • Assist with pre-operative and post-operative assessments.
  • Conduct diagnostic tests such as visual acuity, OCT scans, and IOP checks.
  • Prepare patients for minor procedures and assist during treatments.
  • Ensure infection control and cleanliness standards are maintained.
  • Support consultants during outpatient appointments and minor surgical procedures.
  • Be trained in scrub skills to assist during ophthalmic surgery.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Nurse with valid NMC registration.
  • Newly qualified nurses or up to 2 years experience.
  • Willingness to learn and develop scrub skills for theatre.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
