Registered Children's Home Manager
Location: Liverpool (L18). Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum (depending on experience). Full‑time, permanent. Full UK driving licence required.
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Registered Children’s Home Manager to lead a brand-new 3-bed Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) home in Liverpool. This will be the fourth home within an established children's residential care provider that already holds a Good Ofsted rating across its services.
The home will support up to three children aged 8–17 years in a mixed-gender setting, providing a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment where young people can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Register with Ofsted and lead the day-to-day management of the home.
- Ensure the home consistently meets the Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
- Lead, inspire, and develop a high‑performing staff team.
- Promote a therapeutic, child-centered approach to care.
- Ensure safeguarding remains at the heart of the service.
- Manage recruitment, staff development, supervisions, and performance.
- Maintain excellent relationships with local authorities, families, education providers, and healthcare professionals.
- Monitor quality assurance, compliance, and service improvement.
- Manage budgets, occupancy, staffing, and overall performance of the home.
- Work towards achieving and maintaining positive Ofsted inspection outcomes.
About You
Essential Requirements:
- Previous experience within a children's residential home.
- Current Registered Manager, or an experienced Deputy Manager ready to step up.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards and close to completion).
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and Children’s Homes Quality Standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Passion for achieving the very best outcomes for children and young people.
- Full UK driving licence.
