Mental Health Nurse (RMN) – CAMHS
Location: Horley, Surrey | Salary: £37,500 per annum | Hours: Full‑Time (3 days/nights one week, 4 days/nights the next – rolling rota) | Shift Pattern: 7:30am – 8:00pm or 7:30pm – 8:00am | Contract: Permanent | Sponsorship: Not available
We are recruiting a qualified Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join an established CAMHS inpatient unit in Horley, Surrey. The service provides specialist care and treatment for young people aged 13–18 with a primary diagnosis of mental illness, including mood disorders, acute psychosis, neurodevelopmental disorders, and disordered eating. This is a rewarding clinical role within a supportive multidisciplinary team. Completed Preceptorship is essential for this role.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality, compassionate nursing care to young people within a CAMHS setting
- Lead assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
- Observe, record, and report service user changes accurately
- Provide mentorship and support to colleagues and junior team members
- Promote positive teamwork within a busy inpatient environment
Requirements
- Qualified Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with valid NMC PIN
- Completed Preceptorship – essential
- Experience within mental health or CAMHS settings desirable
- Strong team‑working and communication skills
- Caring, compassionate, and self‑motivated approach

- 12‑bed CAMHS inpatient unit
