We are excited to work with a great Children’s Home seeking a passionate, experienced Registered Manager capable of providing the highest quality care for 3 children & young people with Learning Disabilities and EBD. The role involves inspiring, developing, and building a skilled staff team through excellent leadership and management skills for a brand-new home. Deputy Manager experience will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional leadership, including registering as the manager with Ofsted.
- Ensure high‑quality service delivery that meets the needs of children and families.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage the delegated budget and ensure efficient use of resources.
- Recruit, train, and supervise staff.
- Manage the service to meet organisational and regulatory expectations through robust planning, review, and monitoring of policy, practice and procedure.
- Establish and develop effective relationships and channels of communication with colleagues, community organisations, partner agencies and other external agencies, including chairing multi‑agency meetings as appropriate.
- Lead and be accountable for achieving positive outcomes for children and young people, driving continuous improvement using performance data and evidence‑based outcome measures.
- Ensure systems and processes are in place to maintain legal and statutory records in line with regulatory and organisational requirements, and complete quality self‑assessment reports to a high professional standard.
- Ensure the team provides innovative, responsive, high‑quality, person‑centred services to children, young people and their families, based on regularly reviewed assessments of need.
- Level 5 NVQ in Leadership and Management or equivalent, or a willingness to work toward this qualification.
- Outstanding leadership qualities and excellent personal skills.
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of Ofsted requirements and safeguarding practices.
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager of a residential Children’s Home.
- A positive, approachable manner.
- A genuine ambition for children, young people and families.
- Ability to meet the requirements for registration with Ofsted.
