We’re recruiting an experienced Registered Manager to lead a Doncaster-based children’s home supporting young people with complex needs. This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who sets high standards, builds strong teams, and is committed to achieving Good/Outstanding outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, develop and inspire the staff team (induction, training, supervision, performance management, rota cover)
- Oversee daily operations: shift planning, staffing deployment, budgets, petty cash, record keeping and reporting
- Ensure key documents are robust, reviewed and up to date (care plans, risk assessments, anti‑bullying plans)
- Work closely with senior leadership to achieve and sustain Ofsted Good/Outstanding
- Provide consistent support for children who may present with challenging behaviour
- Maintain unwavering professionalism, integrity, and strong safeguarding practice
What we’re looking for
- Experience supervising staff within children’s residential care
- Previous Deputy Manager experience (or equivalent senior role) in a children’s home
- Level 3/4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Level 5 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to complete within 2 years – fully funded)
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Flexible approach to rota cover when required
