We're working with a high-quality, growing provider seeking an experienced Deputy Manager to support the leadership of a children's residential home in Thorne. This is a hands‐on role where you'll support the Registered Manager in delivering a safe, structured, and nurturing environment – stepping up to lead the home in their absence.
The Role
- Support the Registered Manager with day‐to‐day running of the home
- Lead shifts, supervise staff and ensure high standards of care
- Contribute to care planning, reviews, and case conferences
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with regulations
- Support with rota management, admin, and staff performance
- Promote a safe, therapeutic, and child‐centred environment
- Work flexibly across shifts, including evenings and weekends
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 2 years' experience in children's residential care
- Experience in a senior or supervisory role
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or working towards)
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and care standards
- Confident, resilient and able to make decisions under pressure
- Full UK driving licence (held 12 months)
