About the Role

We’re seeking an experienced and passionate NMC Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to step into a Deputy Ward Manager position within a supportive and collaborative environment. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside a dedicated multidisciplinary team, supporting service users with acute mental health needs and contributing to the clinical and operational development of the service.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Coordinate and manage the quality of patient care and clinical services
  2. Provide leadership and support to the nursing and care team
  3. Work closely with the Ward Manager to achieve clinical targets and maintain high standards of care
  4. Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, legislation, and quality standards
  5. Participate fully with the multidisciplinary team and lead direct patient care when required

Requirements

  • NMC Registered Nurse (Mental Health)
  • Minimum 2 years’ post-registration experience
  • Strong clinical, mentoring, and leadership skills

Desirable

  • Experience in an acute mental health setting
