An established care provider seeks a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager to oversee a high-quality supported living service for adults with autism, mental health needs, learning disabilities and complex behaviours. This is a CQC registered role with overall responsibility for delivering safe, effective, and person‑centred care across multiple supported living units.
Role Responsibilities
- Hold and maintain CQC registration for the service.
- Ensure full compliance with the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014.
- Lead on CQC inspections, maintaining a 'Good' or 'Outstanding' rating.
- Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team across multiple units.
- Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead.
- Oversee assessments, support planning, reviews and transitions.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement appropriate control measures.
- Deliver staff supervisions, appraisals and performance management.
- Build trusting relationships with families, commissioners and external professionals.
- Promote outcome‑focused, strengths‑based support that encourages independence.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in supported living.
- NVQ/QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
- In‑depth understanding of CQC standards, safeguarding, MCA, DoLS and PBS principles.
- Strong leadership, communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle (essential).
- Familiarity with the Surrey area.
Desirable
- Experience supporting individuals with autism, challenging behaviour or forensic backgrounds.
- Experience managing service transitions, new registrations or service turnarounds.
- Working knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), Active Support or trauma‑informed care.
