We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Children’s Home Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our residential children’s home. This pivotal role ensures the wellbeing, safety, and development of young people, delivering high-quality, tailored care in a nurturing environment. As the Registered Manager, you will take full responsibility for the home’s leadership and performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining a safe environment, and being part of the on-call support rota.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of daily operations in line with legislative, regulatory, and contractual standards.
- Ensure each young person’s physical, emotional, educational, and social needs are met through individualized care planning.
- Build strong relationships with local authorities, partner agencies, and families to support rehabilitation and reintegration.
- Provide effective leadership and supervision, fostering a culture of high performance, safeguarding, and continuous improvement.
- Control budgets and manage financial performance to meet agreed parameters.
- Interpret and implement legislative changes, maintaining full compliance at all times.
- Recruit, develop, and train staff, ensuring workforce resilience and optimum service delivery.
- Promote and maintain a positive health and safety culture across the home.

Essential Skills & Experience
- QCF Level 5 in Leadership for Health & Social Care (Children & Young People’s Residential Management) - or working towards it.
- At least 2 years’ experience in residential childcare.
- Minimum 1 year in a supervisory or management role in a care setting.
- Clear understanding of safeguarding, Ofsted regulations, and quality care standards.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
