Registered Childrens Home Manager - 3 Bed Therapeutic Home - Between £60,000 - £70,000 - Based around Essex Area
About the role
We are recruiting for an experienced Registered Manager to lead a 3 Bedded Therapeutic Home. This is for a well-established Residential Company who are looking to expand their reach to Children. This is an opportunity to lead and manage a brand-new and ambitious service. Key Responsibilities
- The desire and passion to safeguard, motivate, and inspire your staff team, and children in your care.
- Good communication skills to work effectively with colleagues, in addition to working closely alongside other external professionals.
- The characteristics and personality to handle challenging behaviour effectively and professionally.
- The skills required to lead and supervise your colleagues.
- The confidence to make good decisions, based upon risk assessment and the needs of the children and your colleagues.
- A sound and in depth of industry regulations and standards, including Ofsted, the SCCIF, CHR2015, Working Together to Safeguard 2023 etc.
- The skills to work collaboratively with various multi agencies, such as Social Services, the NHS, specialist health services etc. in order to collaboratively create the best outcomes for our children.
Essential Criteria for the Registered Manager
- QCF Level 3 Residential Childcare / Level 3 Diploma Children and Young People’s Workforce.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services in the children and young people’s residential management pathway (either obtained or currently / willing to work towards).
- Experience at Registered Manager / Deputy Manager level specifically within a residential home for children.
