The Role
- As a Support Worker, you’ll play a key role in providing a safe, nurturing and structured environment for children and young people, supporting their day‑to‑day needs and development.
- Supporting young people with daily routines, activities and personal development.
- Promoting independence, life skills and positive behaviours.
- Encouraging engagement in community activities such as sports, outings and social events.
- Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children at all times.
- Completing accurate records, reports and care documentation.
- Working collaboratively with families, professionals and external agencies.
- Supporting with household tasks including cooking and maintaining a safe environment.
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Children & Young People or Level 3 in Residential Childcare.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in residential childcare.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Good understanding of safeguarding and Ofsted standards.
