Registered Children's Home Manager – Children's Homes
We are looking for an experienced Registered Children’s Home Manager for a new residential home in the Chelmsford area.
The role is pivotal in ensuring that all care plans are effectively implemented and that the highest standards of care are maintained.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and review individual care plans tailored to each child's needs.
- Supervise and support staff in delivering high‑quality care, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulatory standards.
- Manage daily operations within the residential home, including staff scheduling and resource allocation.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the team, promoting a culture of excellence in practices.
- Conduct regular assessments of children's progress and wellbeing, making necessary adjustments to care plans as required.
- Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to ensure holistic support for each child.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with legal requirements, Ofsted standards and organisational policies.
- Foster an environment that encourages personal development for both staff and children through training and support initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience in managing care services within a children’s setting, such as home care or assisted living.
- Strong understanding of care plans and the ability to implement them effectively.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with staff, children, and families.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to children's care services.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
- A compassionate approach towards caring for children with diverse needs.
