A well-established, family-run care provider in the South Wales area is seeking an experienced Registered Manager / Care Home Manager to lead an established residential care service supporting older adults, including those living with dementia. This is a hands-on leadership role within a respected service, offering the opportunity to maintain and further develop high standards of care, compliance, and team performance.

As Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and day-to-day management of the home, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and person-centred care. You will work closely with senior leadership while maintaining autonomy in managing the service, ensuring continued compliance with Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) standards and local authority expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support the care team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the residential service
  • Ensure compliance with CIW regulations, safeguarding, and health & safety standards
  • Manage staffing, including rotas, recruitment, and development
  • Monitor occupancy levels and support sustainable service performance
  • Maintain accurate care plans, records, and documentation
  • Build strong relationships with families, professionals, and external agencies
  • Drive continuous improvement in care quality and service delivery
Requirements
  • Experience as a Registered Manager or a strong Deputy Manager ready to step up
  • NVQ/QCF Level 5 in Health & Social Care (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of CIW regulatory requirements
  • Experience within residential and/or dementia care settings
  • Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care
