The Role
As Registered Manager, you will have full operational responsibility for the 2‑bed service, ensuring high‑quality care delivery and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Full leadership and operational management of the home
- Ensure compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards 2015
- Lead on safeguarding, care planning and quality assurance
- Develop and embed trauma‑informed and therapeutic practice
- Oversee recruitment, supervision and workforce development
- Maintain strong relationships with Local Authorities and commissioners
- Produce Reg44 / Reg45 documentation and internal monitoring
Progression Plan
Clear pathway to progress into a Dual Registered Manager role overseeing a second 3‑bed home, bringing total oversight to 5 beds. This includes:
- Strategic oversight across both homes
- Support with mobilisation and setup of the second service
- Salary increase aligned with expanded responsibility
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager within children’s residential care
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding frameworks
- Experience supporting Learning Disabilities (LD)
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)
- Full UK Driving Licence
