Responsibilities
- The day‑to‑day running of the billing function across the Reading clinic and other Forbury clinics as they expand.
- Line managing the finance team, fostering a collaborative, high‑performing and forward‑thinking culture.
- Working alongside the Clinic Manager and Lead Nurse to ensure all services are billed accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner.
- Supporting the growth of the organisation by developing and replicating robust billing processes across multiple sites.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in billing within the private healthcare sector.
- Strong understanding of private medical insurance processes and self‑pay billing.
- Experience liaising with insurers and understanding tariff structures.
- Proven experience in staff management and team development.
- Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to identify improvements and implement change positively.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and utilise data to improve performance.
- Advanced Excel skills and confident use of MS Office and web‑based systems.
- Experience with Semble is desirable but not essential.

- Billing Function & Development
- Ensure and contribute to accurate and timely billing for all services, including insured and self‑pay patients.
- Monitor billing workflows to identify inefficiencies and implement improvements.
- Develop and standardise billing processes to support scalability across multiple sites.
- Support the setup and implementation of billing functions in new clinics.
- Responsible for all credit control.
- Finance & Commercial Responsibilities
- Work alongside the Managing Director and Finance Manager to review and improve billing performance.
- Liaise with insurers to negotiate and review tariffs on an annual basis.
- Contribute to financial reporting and performance tracking.
- Practice Organisation
- Collaborate with the Clinic Manager and Lead Nurse to ensure clinical activity is captured and billed correctly.
