Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Sonographer or Fertility Nurse with sonography experience (Desired) to join our clinical team. You will play a vital role in providing high‑quality ultrasound services and supporting patients throughout their fertility journey. You’ll be working across treatments such as IVF, ICSI, Ovulation Induction, Egg Donation and Sharing, Egg Recipiency, and Surgical Sperm Retrieval.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake ultrasound scans (follicular tracking, AFC, pregnancy scans)
- Provide high‑quality sonography services and clear reports
- Support patients through consultations pre, during, and post‑treatment
- Ensure informed consent is obtained and documented appropriately
- Deliver counselling, support, and advice to patients and families in sensitive situations
- Work alongside medical and nursing staff during procedures such as oocyte retrieval, embryo transfer, and intrauterine insemination
- Maintain accurate clinical and administrative records in line with HFEA and NMC standards
- Assist with treatment planning, prescribing coordination, and patient education (e.g. injection techniques)
- Ensure compliance with infection control, risk management, and health & safety standards
About You
- 1st level NMC registration
- Ultrasound training accreditation (BFS or equivalent)
- Experience in venepuncture and cannulation
- Skills in Saline Sonography & HyFosy
- Knowledge of USS machine maintenance and audits
- Interest in women’s health and fertility care
- Competence in theatre and recovery settings
- Excellent communication, counselling, and IT skills
