Role Overview
An established nursing and residential home is seeking a Registered Nurse to take on a Nurse in Charge role on nights. You will lead a small night team, working alongside 2 carers to support 19 nursing residents within a 29‑bedded service providing nursing, residential, and dementia care.
Responsibilities
- Take charge of the home on night shift
- Lead and support 2 care staff
- Deliver clinical care including venepuncture and general nursing skills
- Carry out clinical assessments, care planning and medication management
- Support residents with nursing, residential, and dementia care needs
- Maintain accurate records and ensure CIW compliance
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with an active NMC PIN
- Venepuncture and strong general clinical skills
- Previous nursing home experience (preferred)
- Confident leading a shift and managing a small team
- Compassionate, reliable, and person‑centred approach
