As an Occupational Health Physician, you will play a key role in supporting employers and employees by delivering high-quality occupational health services. This is a flexible hybrid role, combining face‑to‑face site visits with home‑based case management to ensure a comprehensive and responsive service.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake case management for a range of health issues, including fitness for work, workplace adjustments, and return‑to‑work planning.
  • Deliver face‑to‑face consultations at client sites as required, ensuring a personalised and professional approach when on site.
  • Conduct home‑based telephone/video‑based consultations, providing clear and supportive guidance to managers and patients.
  • Provide clear, concise, and professional reports for employers, outlining medical opinions and recommendations.
  • Liaise with employers, HR teams, and other healthcare professionals to support employee wellbeing and organisational health goals.
  • Stay up to date with relevant legislation, clinical guidelines, and best practices in occupational health.

Qualifications

  • Fully GMC‑registered professional with licence to practise and a qualification in Occupational Medicine (minimum D.O.CcMed).
  • Proven case‑management experience in occupational health.
  • Strong clinical experience in occupational health, including fitness‑for‑work assessments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport.
  • Proactive, flexible, and strong organisational and time‑management abilities.
  • Familiarity with workplace health legislation and guidelines (e.g., Equality Act, Health and Safety at Work Act).
  • IT literacy and the ability to prepare detailed and professional reports.
