As an Occupational Health Advisor at Health Partners, you will work at our client site in Newton Aycliffe to create healthier, safer working environments for their people. You will deliver a full range of clinical services, including case management, fitness‑for‑work assessments, health surveillance, vaccinations and phlebotomy.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Provide professional occupational health case management advice to facilitate early return to work for absent employees.
- Offer and maintain advice on health issues, health promotion, and health education for employers and employees.
- Work autonomously and as part of a multi‑disciplinary team to meet service level agreements with clients and employees.
- Undertake health surveillance, vaccinations and phlebotomy as required.
- Act within the scope of the NMC professional practice and Code of Conduct, and according to qualification, experience and competency.
- Ensure ongoing CPD and training meet NMC requirements for continuing registration; maintain evidence for revalidation.
- Familiarise with all relevant client contracts and the Aide Memoire.
- Manage medical records in compliance with Health Partners Data Protection Policy and GDPR, preserving confidentiality.
- Coordinate with other service teams for client and patient queries.
- Complete all clinical administration in line with Health Partners policies and within agreed timescales.
- Participate in clinical audit activities as required.
Essential
- Nursing qualification
- At least two years experience with complex case‑management activities and referrals
- NMC registration
- Occupational Health degree or diploma
- Demonstrated equivalent experience within Occupational Health departments
- Experience hosting client wellness and health promotion days
- Training to undertake all clinical services including health surveillance, fitness‑for‑work medicals, vaccinations and phlebotomy
Desirable
- Experience with the rail sector
