Role Outline
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary occupational health team to manage workplace health risks.
- Supporting Occupational Health colleagues with preventative health risk management, integrating hygiene aspects into Occupational Health services and assisting with training and education initiatives.
- Contribute to the structure and arrangement for the health risk profile (HRP) approach to workplace health risk management.
- Perform occupational hygiene risk assessments, surveys and audits addressing a range of chemical, physical and biological agents e.g. airborne hazardous substances, workplace noise, hand-arm vibration, whole-body vibration, thermal stress, ergonomic factors, EMF, LEV assessment etc.
- Contribute to the development of the occupational hygiene management strategy and help refine the health surveillance programme.
- Work with occupational health colleagues to integrate occupational hygiene related aspects into occupational health provision.
- Provide support to occupational health colleagues as required to address preventative elements of workplace health risk management and advice relating to workplace exposures.
- Assist as required with preparation and delivery of training and information materials on occupational hygiene related topics.
What we are looking for
- Ideally you will possess or be near to achieving the Certificate of Operational Competence in Occupational Hygiene (LFOH) and previous experience in a similar role.
Hours
This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours a week.
Location
This is an on-site role, working at our client site in Rosyth.
The salary banding for the role is £45,000 - £50,000 per annum and is based on experience and qualifications.
