We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Occupational Health Advisor to join our remote team working with a specific client. In this role, you will deliver high‑quality occupational health advice and services, including evidence‑based case management for referrals related to attendance, fitness for work and other occupational health matters. You will support the health and wellbeing of employees while ensuring professional and effective service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional, comprehensive and evidence‑based written reports.
  • Offer expert advice on legislative requirements and best practices relating to occupational health.
  • Provide travel advice.
  • Triage referrals.
  • Deal with health surveillance escalations.
  • Carry out PPQs.

Qualifications

  • Current registration on Part 1 of the NMC register.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Occupational Health (degree or diploma).
  • Desired: Part 3 NMC registration, MSc in an OH‑related field, dual RN/RMN registration.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong time‑management and clear understanding of scope of practice and escalation.
  • IT literacy, knowledge of data protection and confidentiality principles in occupational health.
  • Advanced IT skills and ability to present, teach or train (advantageous).
  • Solid understanding of occupational health and employment legislation.
  • Experience in case management, providing OH advice, conducting medicals, performing health surveillance.
  • Additional desirables: mentoring OH students, managing OH teams, administering vaccinations, advanced ergonomic advice.
  • Flexible, self‑motivated, committed to excellence and able to work independently or as part of a team, with strong negotiation and motivational skills and ability to give and receive constructive feedback.

Hours

Part‑time position: 15 hours a week over two days.

Salary

Competitive salary dependent on qualifications and experience, alongside our regularly reviewed company benefits package.
