Health Partners have an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Health Nurse to join our collaborative, multidisciplinary team at the client site Hinkley Point C. The Occupational Health Nurse is an integral part of the team, providing a compassionate, professional clinical service that is instrumental in the quality of care that our clients receive.
The role requires conducting health surveillance, delivering health and wellbeing initiatives, and working with external organisations and other health professionals. It also involves working within a multidisciplinary department including emergency care and occupational health, with the opportunity to be multidisciplinary dependent on your skill set/experience.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Providing health surveillance and managing escalations via the Occupational Health Technicians.
- Providing professional advice, support and guidance.
- Assessing new clients presenting to Occupational Health.
- Assessing individuals’ fitness to work for the appropriate job role.
- Providing clinical assessment of clients presenting with minor illness and injury.
- Supporting the Senior OH Advisor to advise, monitor and assess the clinical practice of the OH team.
- Ensuring clinical assessment skills are maintained in line with best practice.
What We Are Looking For
We are seeking an Occupational Health Nurse with a range of skills, experience, and professional qualifications to join our team. Candidates with experience as a practice nurse or in a similar role and an understanding of health surveillance are preferred. Strong organisational skills are essential for this role, alongside the ability to effectively prioritise tasks in a busy environment. Good IT skills, including proficiency in using database systems, Outlook, Word, and Excel, are required. The candidate must be a team player who welcomes challenges and is committed to achieving results. A curiosity to understand, learn, and develop both themselves and others is a key attribute we value.
Hours
This is a full-time role, working between the hours of 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
Location
This role is based at the client site Hinkley Point C, in Somerset.
Salary
We offer a competitive salary for this role, dependent on experience and qualifications. Professional registration (NMC) fees are paid annually.
