Health Partners is a leading provider of occupational health and wellbeing solutions. We are looking for an Occupational Health Technician to join our multidisciplinary occupational health team at our client's premises in Barrow-in-Furness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform health screening procedures, including baseline measurements (height, weight, blood pressure, urinalysis), health surveillance (audiometry, lung function testing), and Safety Critical Medical Assessments.
  • Accurately record medical information in occupational health records and pass it to clinical staff for interpretation.
  • Adhere to set protocols, recognising role limitations and referring queries beyond competency to clinical staff.
  • Competently follow chain of custody procedures for drug and alcohol testing, including facility preparation, sample handling, and paperwork.
  • Assist with non‐clinical tasks such as filing and tidying.

Qualifications and Experience

We are looking for an individual with a suitable background for this role, such as Health Care Assistant, Fitness Instructor, Ambulance EMT, Military Medic, or Offshore Medic. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong IT literacy, a self‐motivated and proactive approach to work, and a strong understanding of patient confidentiality.

Hours and Location

This is a full‐time position (37.5 hours). Working hours are Monday to Thursday 7:15 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Friday 7:15 a.m. – 11:45 a.m., with occasional night shift duties. The role is based at our client's site in Barrow-in-Furness.

Salary

The salary for this position is £26,227.50 per annum.
