Job Overview
We are looking for a Client Manager on a 12 month FTC to join our Large Corporate Sales Team. You’ll be proactively managing, retaining and developing a portfolio of Large Corporate clients, primarily consisting of Employee Assistance Programmes (EAP), Private Medical Insurance (PMI) and medical trust clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing positive and productive business‑to‑business relationships to deliver retention and development sales results across the range of products and services.
- Taking a consultative approach to truly understand your client’s goals and strategic objectives, taking ownership of their needs, queries and servicing requirements.
- Building annual and longer‑term account plans, establishing and developing lasting relationships between Corporate Clients and AXA Health.
- Presenting relevant high‑quality tailored proposals, leading negotiations and winning new business.
- Proactively identifying opportunities for further product and service sales.
- Identifying changes in the marketplace or with our competitors that could impact your customers and suggesting innovative solutions.
- Meeting with clients at least 2 to 3 days per week, either face to face or virtually depending on client requirements; the client portfolio will be nationwide.
Work Arrangements
At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You’ll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means attending the office, visiting clients or attending industry events.
Your Skills & Experience
- Proven account management and development experience.
- Excellent relationship and stakeholder management skills, building both internal and external networks.
- Commercial and strategic awareness coupled with an appreciation of the corporate business environment.
- Sound influencing and negotiation skills – aiming to achieve a win/win every time.
- Customer focused with excellent communication, including active listening.
- Proven ability to meet sales targets and evidence of ability to develop and implement plans for long‑term success.
- Good knowledge of the private healthcare market and wellbeing products and services.
- Experience of working with large corporate clients and intermediaries would be desirable.
- Full driving licence required due to travel involved.
As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom. This position has been defined as an Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) role under the IDD regime which means that in addition to pre‑employment screening checks, the successful candidate will be subject to background screening every four years with an annual declaration in interim years.
