We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Carer to join our team in a full-time role (40 hours per week). The Senior Carer will be responsible for delivering high-quality care, performing administrative duties, managing medication orders, maintaining care plans, and conducting quality checks to support CQC regulatory compliance, as designated by the Nursing Management Team. This role will be supervised by the Registered General Nurse Registered Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate and effective care to service users, ensuring both physical and emotional needs are met.
- Assist with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and mobility support.
- Administer medication in accordance with care plans and regulatory standards.
- Order and manage medication supplies, ensuring timely and accurate processing and routine delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of administration tasks for regulatory audit purposes.
- Perform designated administrative tasks such as handling enquiries, scheduling, filing, and communication with families and professionals.
- Conduct quality checks and audits as assigned to ensure compliance with care standards.
- Support junior staff and provide guidance during onboarding as needed.
- Report concerns and incidents promptly and accurately to the RGN and BM.
Supervision
The Senior Carer will report directly to the Registered General Nurse and Registered Manager. Regular training, supervision, and performance reviews will be conducted to ensure high standards of care and professional development.
Qualifications and Experience
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 yearsβ experience in a care setting, preferably in a senior role.
- Strong communication, administrative and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of medication management, clinical care skills and care planning.
- Must have a UK Full Driving Licence.
