About the role

As Clinical Secretarial Support, you will provide administrative support to our consultants and clinical teams, assist with coordinating the patient journey from initial specialist appointment through hospital-based care and back into the community.

This position requires excellent attention to detail to maintain accurate data management of our patient information care system and transcribing medical documents.

This is a permanent, full-time role working 80 hours per fortnight (1.0 FTE), Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am to 4.30pm.

By providing essential administrative support, we enable clinical teams to focus on delivering exceptional patient care. About you

As Clinical Secretarial Support, you will:

  • have a positive and professional approach
  • possess excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering a consistently high level of customer service
  • be a competent typist and possess a sound knowledge of the MS Office Suite
  • be highly empathetic, respect the importance of maintaining patient confidentiality and will have demonstrated the ability to manage a busy workload.

A typing speed of 50 words per minute or more is essential. Audio transcription experience and medical terminology would be advantageous but not essential. Our preferred applicants will be required to undertake a computer skills assessment.

The successful candidate must be eligible to work in New Zealand or hold a valid New Zealand work visa at the time of applying.
