We are looking for Clinical Physiologists who are passionate about delivering quality care to our patients.

About the role:

  • The Respiratory and Sleep Service is part of Medical Services and provides a range of sleep diagnostic and treatment options for adults with sleep disorder breathing.
  • Depending on the role, responsibilities may include some or all of the following:
    • Work as part of a team coordinating home-based sleep studies.
    • Help maintain a smooth and efficient service, including timely response to patient enquiries.
    • Troubleshooting patient problems with their masks and machines.
    • Analyse and report on sleep studies in a timely manner, following international standards.
    • Facilitate Group CPAP education sessions and Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) follow-up clinics in Rotorua, and twice a month in Taupo.
    • Liaise with the Respiratory-Sleep physicians with regard to the management of complex sleep patients, including adherence to the NZTA Guidelines for Medical Aspects of Fitness to Drive.

About you:

  • The successful applicant will have:
    • a relevant postgraduate qualification, current professional registration and Annual Practicing Certificate.
    • at least two years experience working in clinical physiology within your specialty area.
    • strong clinical, diagnostic and analytical skills with a commitment to evidence-based practice.
    • a positive, proactive approach with strong problem-solving and prioritisation skills.
