Join EKRH\’s hospitalist team and bring your compassionate style of care to our dynamic healthcare environment. Your responsibilities span a broad spectrum of medical care, overseeing and addressing the healthcare needs of admitted patients, from acute ailments to chronic conditions. As the primary physician during patients\’ hospital stays, you\’ll orchestrate complex treatment plans while collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team comprising nurses, specialists, surgeons, and allied healthcare professionals.
Our vibrant hospitalist program is engaged with the UBC faculty of medicine and residency programs, creating exciting opportunities for mentoring and immersive clinical teaching. Beyond moulding the minds of tomorrow\’s medical professionals, we also promote engagement in projects centred around enhancing Physician Quality Improvement (PQI), backed by support from DoBC.
Compensation
Compensation Type: Alternative Payment Arrangement.
Estimated Remuneration for a full-time hospitalist: $336,162.00 plus MOCAP level 2.
Benefits and Incentives
- Vacation Leave – Ample time to recharge and unwind.
- Retention Premium: 14%
- Retention Flat Fee: $21,696
- Relocation Funding Available: $9,000 for moves within BC, $12,000 for moves within Canada, and $15,000 for those relocating from outside Canada.
- Recruitment Incentive: $20,000, prorated for physicians working less than full time.
- Other Benefits/Incentives: With RCME, you’ll be eligible to receive $1,320 for up to 2 years in Cranbrook, $3,520 during your 3rd and 4th year, and $5,720 after 4 years, in addition to the Doctors of BC CME funds. Rural incentives are subject to change and current rates are confirmed at the time of offer.
