Fraser Health Authority is seeking to add 4 consulting Dermatologists to enhance the current Dermatology group that provides specialist dermatology care to the community of Surrey. Surrey Memorial Hospital is a 641‑bed acute‑care, University of BC‑affiliated, regional referral and community teaching hospital that has the busiest emergency in the province. The hospital offers medical, surgical, neonatal intensive care, tertiary, ambulatory, cardiology, rehab, and 24/7 emergency services with nearly 180,000 visits annually. The Emergency Department includes a dedicated pediatric treatment and waiting area, and the state‑of‑the‑art Critical Care Tower includes a dedicated perinatal centre, helipad and expanded ICU.

Responsibilities

The Dermatologist will provide mostly outpatient and private community services and will also be expected to consult inpatients at SMH. In addition, the Dermatologist will obtain a Clinical Faculty appointment with the University of British Columbia and provide supervision, mentorship and teaching to medical trainees.

  • Full FRCPC certification
  • Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia
