QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING
Essential criteria
- Educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level of experience of working at a similar level
- To have undertaken training related to clinical audit and or quality improvement
- Possess or be working towards a supervisory management qualification
Desirable criteria
- Possess accredited qualification related to Quality Improvement, e.g. an in-depth course run by the Clinical Audit Support Centre
EXPERIENCE
Essential criteria
- Extensive relevant and recent experience of working on clinical audit projects including developing criteria/standards, data collection, data analysis, developing/monitoring action plans and writing clinical audit reports
- Project management experience
- Experience of different data collection techniques, both qualitative and quantitative
Desirable criteria
- Experience of managing / supervising members of a team
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES
Essential criteria
- Knowledge of the principles of best practice in clinical audit
- Knowledge of Clinical Governance and its implications for clinical audit
- Knowledge of Quality Improvement methodologies and their implications and use within clinical audit
