There is an exciting new opportunity for a qualified accountant to work within the Finance Business Partnering Team that supports the Medicine Division of ABUHB. The role is based at the Royal Gwent Hospital, with an opportunity to work in an agile manner across all the Health Board's sites. You will be the Finance lead responsible for several Directorates. This permanent role represents an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and flexible individual with the following benefits: 28 days annual leave, attractive Pension scheme, Salary Sacrifice schemes and flexible working opportunities.

Main duties of the job:

  • An excellent opportunity for a highly motivated, enthusiastic, qualified accountant to join the Medicine Division Finance Team within Aneurin Bevan University Health Board.
  • The Finance Business Partnering teams are responsible for providing high quality financial advice and support to budget holders within the Divisions of the organisation.
  • The post holder will be required to work closely with budget holders to understand and support the service in delivering on their financial and performance obligations.
  • The Medicine Division is responsible for providing a variety of services including Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Respiratory, Diabetes, Stroke, Neurology and Acute Medicine as well as other services.
  • The post holder will be a fully qualified (CCAB body or CIMA) accountant with excellent communication skills and significant analytical abilities.
  • The post holder will be required to work across multiple Health Board sites covering a range of Directorates.
  • The ability to speak Welsh is desirable; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
