Barts Health is one of the largest NHS trusts in the country and is committed to improving services and patient care. This role works within a consortium of NHS organisations in East London to support Oracle Financial systems, ensuring data integrity and adherence to best practice across trusts.
The primary purpose of the role is to assist the Systems Manager in maintaining the integrity of systems and data for all trusts, ensuring that processes follow best practice and that all systems remain up‐to‐date.
Main Duties
- Serve as the primary point of contact with Oracle financial users to record, resolve and, when necessary, escalate issues (financial, functional & technical) within Oracle Core Financials, V1 Scanning & Qlik Sense while adhering to agreed service level agreements.
- Communicate with users within the consortium and external partners such as Version 1, V1, Qlik, NHS Logistics, GHX, Assmia & Alemba.

Essential Criteria
- Highly competent in one or more of the Oracle financial reporting tools – BI/XML/Qlik Sense
- Highly experienced in call‐to‐ticket resolution using a help‐desk escalation platform
- Experience of working under pressure to strict deadlines and prioritising workload
- Extensive knowledge in Oracle 12.2.9+ functional system administration or 6+ years' experience of the same
Desirable Criteria
- Experienced or qualified in management/financial accounting theories – AAT/ACCA/CIMA, any stage a plus
- Knowledge of APEX

- Outstanding organisational skills, particularly in communicating and monitoring key issues through their full life cycle
- Outstanding communication skills and the ability to do so at all levels
- Working in a highly pressured environment and the ability to prioritise
- Highly competent analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve a range of problems, e.g., Oracle system errors, bugs, etc.
- Delivery of Oracle functional 12.2.9+ training to all levels
- Ability to lead level 1 analysts in all aspects of that predefined role
- Ability to train level 1 analysts in report writing tools and how to analyse the users' requirements
- Highly competent in the use of MS Office suite/Outlook or ECDL
- Demonstrable desire and ability to learn

- Bachelor's degree
- Experience within a customer‐facing/business environment; ECDL or equivalent
