The Financial Services team have a vacancy for an accounts payable assistant based at our site at St. Mary's Hospital. This role would be ideal for a candidate who has experience of customer service and accounts payable processes.
Main duties of the job include:
- Inputting invoices and credit notes onto the ledger
- Reconciling statements
- Dealing with queries by phone or email
- Building relationships with suppliers and budget managers within the organisation
- Ensuring that invoices are processed in line with the Better Payment Practice Code

Person Specification:
- Experience:
- IT literate (Outlook, Excel & Word)
- Previous experience of using a finance system
- A basic understanding of Purchase Ledger/Payables concepts
- Qualifications:
- At least 4 GCSE's minimum Grade 4 (Previously Grade C) including Maths and English
- Knowledge:
- Demonstrate knowledge of basic finance/book-keeping skills
- Experience:
- Demonstrate experience of customer service
- Demonstrate ability to work independently and manage varied workload
- Demonstrate experience of working in a finance role
