Wye Valley NHS Trust is looking for an enthusiastic CCAB qualified Accountant to take on the role of Finance Manager. You will be a self-motivated, pro-active individual with strong time management and organisational skills. You will also have excellent technical and communication skills. This is a key role within the department offering varied and challenging work in a complex and dynamic environment. The post holder will promote best practice in the provision of senior financial support across the Trust. This involves close working with clinical and operational teams and the ability to analyse and present highly complex information to non-finance staff.
Main duties
- Provide financial expertise to support clinical and operational teams in the activities of the Trust.
- Ensure good financial governance is followed and decision making is supported with high quality financial information.
- Involved in the management, training and development of other members of the Trust, both finance and non-finance, as appropriate.
- Work with Trust colleagues and with other external stakeholders such as suppliers, the Integrated Care Board and other NHS Trusts.

Person specification
- Professionally qualified as an Accountant with current CCAB or CIMA professional membership.
- Evidence of continued professional development.
Experience
- Proven extensive Financial and Business Track Record.
- Comfortable and capable of clear communicating at all levels.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
- Up to date knowledge of NHS Finance and Accounting practice.
- High level of communication and interpersonal skills.
- Full understanding of NHS performance regime.
- Excellent skills in use of Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information in various forms.
