Job Overview

Are you passionate about high-quality care environments and motivated by supporting safe, clean and well-maintained clinical areas? We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable NSC Environmental Auditor to join our Hotel Services team within East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust.

Main Duties of the Job

In this key role, you will help ensure our hospitals provide a safe, clean and compliant environment for patients, staff and visitors. Working closely with the Infection Prevention & Control Team, Ward and Department Managers, and Estates & Facilities colleagues, you will carry out environmental audits, support quality improvement activity, and provide accurate and timely reporting across our sites.

Person Specification

Qualifications

  • Essential criteria: Good general standard of general education including Maths and English
  • Desirable criteria: ECDL or similar IT qualification

Experience

  • Essential criteria: Previous working experience with demonstrable transferrable skills, recent keyboard and computer experience
  • Desirable criteria: Experience of working within Healthcare Services, ability and knowledge of quality control/assessing and ability of using monitoring tools after training

Skills

  • Essential criteria: Computer skills to include database and spreadsheets, good communication and literacy skills, ability to work on own initiative/autonomously, ability to follow procedures, flexible and able to meet strict deadlines, ability to work well within a team, knowledge of quality controls/monitoring systems
  • Desirable criteria: Site Knowledge an advantage
