The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

Please be advised that there is a temporary top-up for Bands 2 and 3 to reflect the incorporation of the top-up to the living wage of £12.60 per hour — £24,638 per annum. The post holder will be an integral part of the Corporate Governance team, supporting the organisation in undertaking Assurance and Risk activities. They will support the development and implementation of robust governance processes and systems, developing strong influential relationships to improve integration between governance and delivery through a shared understanding of business priorities of operational service delivery teams within the Health Board, to add business value, agility, and responsiveness. Supporting and working collaboratively with other directorates, the post holder will develop and embed a risk-conscious culture within the Health Board and drive the delivery of the Assurance and Risk agenda to support organisational objectives, safe and effective services, and compliance with legislation and standards. The post holder will be a positive role model with broad knowledge and technical understanding of Risk Management and Assurance, possessing excellent communication and organisational skills, and the ability to work independently. While based at our headquarters in Bronllys, the post offers flexibility to work from home or another location.
Main duties of the job include:
- Contributing to the design, development, and implementation of an integrated Health Board Assurance Framework and Risk Management Framework.
- Developing the Risk Management Framework to enable full enactment of risk processes.
- Facilitating a risk-aware culture within directorates and teams, providing expert advice in risk identification and assessment to support organisational objectives and compliance.
- Developing effective partnerships with colleagues to support Risk Management and Assurance activities, informing service improvements.
- Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with colleagues.
- Tracking the implementation of audit and regulator recommendations, ensuring compliance with legislation, and providing assurance to the Board through the Audit and Risk Assurance Committee.

Person specification:
Knowledge- Knowledge of Corporate Governance frameworks and assurance systems.
- Understanding of Risk Management processes, including risk appetite/tolerance.
- Significant experience of Risk Management and Assurance within the NHS or large public/private organisations.
- Experience delivering training programs, particularly in Risk and Assurance.
- Desirable: Membership of relevant professional bodies (e.g., IRM).
- Experience working with audit teams and tracking recommendations in large organisations.
