Health Innovation East has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Business Operations Manager to join our rapidly expanding Health Informatics team.

Hours of work: 37.5hrs/week (full time)

Terms: Fixed-term maternity cover until the return of the substantive post holder (up to 12 months)

Salary: £51,646 – £58,202

Location: Cambridge office with hybrid working options

Responsibilities & Duties

The Health Informatics team has specialist skills in delivering complex, technical programmes of work that include providing secure environments for storing and accessing health and other sensitive data to support health and care delivery, research, and innovation. This is a fixed-term maternity cover position in a senior operational role within a high-performing and innovative team. You will play a key role in ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of the Health Informatics portfolio, while working closely with senior leadership to drive improvements in how the team operates, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities and enabling high-quality delivery across a diverse portfolio of projects.

This role encompasses responsibility for core business operations, including recruitment, procurement, financial management, and contract oversight. You will contribute to the pipeline of new work by supporting bids and developing costings, oversee budgets and contracts, and act as a central point of contact for associates and contractors. In addition, you will lead on coordinating team processes and activities, support the delivery of events, and play an active role in team development initiatives. Given the breadth of responsibilities, the role is well suited to a highly organised, proactive individual who is comfortable working across multiple systems, stakeholders, and priorities within a dynamic environment.
