We have an exciting opportunity for a General Practitioner to join our Primary Care team at HMP Lancaster Farms. HMP Lancaster Farms is a category C Prison located on the outskirts of Lancaster, supporting around 550 male patients aged 18-70.
Within this role, you will be working with an established integrated multidisciplinary team including ACP and NMPs to deliver a high-quality healthcare service and prescribing. This role will focus mainly on delivering care to patients with long-term conditions, acute needs, and substance misuse, with a second GP focusing on mental health services.
Hours: 20 hours/5 sessions per week. We are flexible as to how this is worked; it could be across 2.5-3 days a week between Monday and Friday.
Salary: This is a part-time role with a salary between £103,600 and £124,320 per annum FTE depending on experience.

- Deliver first-class healthcare to a diverse group of patients, providing clinical assessment and diagnosis to patient’s requirements and making timely decisions regarding future management.
- Provide a highly specialist resource to other members of the healthcare team at site, as well as the patients you work with, having active involvement in clinical governance and effectiveness activities.

Qualifications required:
- MBChB or MBBS
- Inclusion on the GMC Register and GP Performers List
- Evidence of engagement with annual appraisal
- Experience working as a General Practitioner in community general practice
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Ability to work with patients with a history of substance misuse
- RCGP Certificate in Substance Misuse 1 and 2, or prepared to undertake these qualifications
